At MCC we desire to be a community during the week, as well as on Sundays. This happens through formation of small groups and intentionally gathering together.
Pastor Jim and Anthony want to encourage all members of MCC to organically form small groups with people you know, would like to know, or find intriguing.
The MCC small groups will then read through The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry, by John Mark Comer. This book has been intentionally chosen for all groups, to establish a common language and focus as an MCC family. The theme of the book is how to slow down and intentionally be with Jesus amidst the hustle and hurry of our lives.
The goal is to have groups established by the end of the year, and then start meeting together and reading the book, beginning in January 2023.
As the weeks progress, Staff will make more resources available to groups as to how to set expectations for meeting, and staying together as a group, doing life together.
Simple steps going forward:
- Find people to form a small group, and establish a day and time to meet.
- Purchase/rent the Ruthless Elimination of Hurry.
- Begin meeting and reading together in January.
- Make friends and do life together as a community of Jesus followers!
